Bennison’s legal practice focuses primarily on estate administration, real estate transactions and corporate law. As part of his practice, Bennison has advised clients on a wide range of matters, including but not limited to Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Probate Certificate Applications, Real Estate matters, as well as incorporation, shareholder agreements, and share/asset purchase agreements.
Born and raised in Otonabee-South Monaghan Township and Douro-Dummer Township, Bennison calls the City of Peterborough home.
Bennison Smith Law currently operates out of the offices of Moldaver McFadden in downtown Peterborough.

Bennison Smith Law is based in Peterborough, Ontario. I operate my business from the Peterborough Business Hub near downtown.
Meetings are available virtually or in-person. I specialize in estate planning, estate administration and business law.
I provide flexible, accommodating legal services, designed to meet the needs of my clients as they plan for their future and their family's future.

Prior to opening my practice, I worked with Deloitte Canada's Legal Project Solutions (LPS) group to assist in the administration of a major class action settlement.
After obtaining my Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law, I returned to my hometown to complete my articling term with a local Peterborough firm. I was called to the Ontario Bar in 2021.
Among other responsibilities, I volunteer my time with Community Care Peterborough and I serve on the board of directors of the Alzheimer's Society of Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland and Haliburton.
My roots in Peterborough run deep. It is a pleasure to serve the needs of the community that raised me.
